43% cocoa chocolate with milk
Let’s start with our 43% cocoa chocolate with milk. The milk powder for our chocolate comes from the Schrozberg Dairy Cooperative in Germany. Schrozberg Dairy, as the only supplier of organic Demeter milk powder, gets their milk from farmers in the north-eastern region of Baden-Wurttemberg. Their cows exclusively get organic feed and are kept in small herds in a natural manner with plenty of outdoor space.

43% cocoa chocolate with milk and fleur de sel.
The combination of creamy chocolate with milk and a touch of the finest salt crystals provides an unforgettable taste experience. We get our salt from the company Khoisan Trading Co. Ltd. in South Africa. Khoisan sources natural, raw, organic, hand-scooped sea salt from an underground salt lake. The aim of the family business is to provide work for as many local residents as possible.

70% cocoa dark chocolate
Our classic choice is our dark chocolate with 70% cocoa. The 70% has been with us since the founding of fairafric, in 2016. Visually, the packaging from 2016, which is in earthy tones, has changed a lot. Today, it glows in rich colors and a vibrant “wax pattern” by Ghanaian graphic designer Karen Oku.

70% dark chocolate with nibs.
Our full-bodied dark chocolate with fine cocoa nibs – the delicious superfood for a wonderfully cracking chocolate time. But what are cocoa nibs? Cocoa nibs are created during chocolate production. After harvesting, the cocoa beans are first cleaned, followed by roasting. During this process, the cocoa aroma develops and most of the moisture is extracted. The husk-free cocoa seeds are crushed. Part of it is processed into cocoa liquor and the other part is used for our 70% chocolate with nibs.

80% dark chocolate
In our chocolate assortment, you will find two deliciious flavors with 80% cocoa, with and without the addition of fleur de sel. The pure dark chocolate without salt crystals offers a perfect balance of smooth yet strong flavor. Rich in powerful, cocoa-infused flavors, it is a melt-in-your-mouth, mouthwatering treat for true chocoholics. Did you know that 80% dark chocolate is conched for up to 20 hours, while chocolate with milk only needs six to seven hours of conching? Conching describes the process in which the fermented cocoa – the essential ingredient for a first-class end product – is heated through various temperature peaks in order to “sweat out” the unwanted flavors and acids from the cocoa mass.
