We are tremendously pleased that not only our Impact, but our delicious taste is also convincing. "We are delighted with the inviting dark chocolate scent, the crunch of the bar and the remarkably creamy yet crisp mouthfeel." (Great Taste Award jury). We love to hear that and are very proud of this feedback.
The Guild of Fine Foods organizes the Great Taste Awards, the largest award for products from the fine foods sector and is known as a seal of quality in Great Britain. A panel of 500 experts evaluate the taste, texture, ingredient quality and aroma of food products from around the world.
The award validates our approach to production and demonstrates that the best quality chocolate is produced with state-of-the-art machinery in our solar-powered factory in Ghana. Free of artificial flavors or lecithin, we pay special attention to a pure organic ingredient list.
By shifting the value addition to Ghana, we create jobs in rural Suhum, right next to the organic cocoa farms.
For us, such awards are very important, as they show us how good our chocolate has become. We are constantly improving, so direct exchange with Team Ghana is also very important. In July, Team Ghana visited Herford and Munich!
Michael (our Managing Director in Ghana) and Griselda (Sales and Assistance) visited Munich a few months ago, some colleagues from Team Germany were also in Ghana to get to know the team and the production on site. In July, five more employees from Team Ghana, together with Michael, arrived in Germany. The stay started with a training at the chocolate production Ludwig Weinrich GmbH in Herford: Questions on questions! Both sides were able to learn a lot from each other - especially since they operate similar or even the same machines.
Team Ghana then came from Herford to Munich and we spent the time together in the office at workshops, but also in the evenings together at the Isar or in the beer garden. An unforgettable experience for all of us!
